Visiting Fellows

visiting fellows The Visiting Fellowship program provides opportunities for suitably qualified people within government, academic and other organisations to undertake focused applied or theoretical research and development and education and training programs in targeted aspects of Environmental Health Impact Assessment/Health Impact Assessment.

The Fellowship program allows Fellows to increase their understanding and adopt a leadership role within their region in the development and promotion of:

  • Education programs at a range of levels,
  • Organisational arrangements, management structures and policy development,
  • Research proposals for grant support and consultancies,
  • Strategic planning initiatives and methods for their implementation.
  • Implementation of EHIA/HIA processes and procedures.

The duration of Fellowships is flexible.

WHO Fellowship Program on Monitoring of Respirable Dusts in the Workplace for two senior members of the National Institute for Occupational Health and Poison Control in China, and a member of the Ministry of Health in China.
WHO Fellowship Program on Environmental Health Impact Assessment for the Ministry of Health, Malaysia.
WHO Fellowship Program on Health Promotion of the Prevention of Injuries and Disabilities for a senior staff member of the Ministry of Health, Malaysia.
WHO Fellowship Program for the Prevention of Injuries and Disabilites for two staff members of the Ministry of Health, Malaysia.
WHO Fellowship Program on Environmental Health Impact Assessment for three senior staff members of the Ministry of Health, Malaysia.

Development and implementation of a two month workplace health and safety education and training program for an Occupational Health and Safety professional from Indonesia. Participating agencies: AusAID, Government of Indonesia
Development and implementation of a four week education and training program on occupational health and safety for university, government and industry officials in Thailand. Participating agencies: AUSAID, Mahidol University
Fellowship Program on Occupational Health and Safety for a group of health and safety professionals from Lesotho. Participating agencies: International Labor Organisation, Government of Lesotho
